This 2-owner 550 Maranello is the end of an era, being one of the last front-engined V12s with a proper manual gearbox produced by Ferrari. Service records from new show a Tubi exhaust was installed in October of 2000 with its most recent service in June of 2019 to correct rodent damage that occurred while stored in the owner's garage. A belt service including tensioner bearings was also done at this time.
Options on this 550 include red brake calipers, Daytona seats, colored upper dash, pillars & roof, rear leather shelf & colored steering wheel. Originally delivered by Cauley Ferrari in W. Bloomfield, Michigan, the original MSRP was $220,520.
Tires have date codes from 2002 & 2004 so they should be changed prior to any spirited driving or touring. Three of the four 18" wheels have minor curb rash and can be easily repaired. The interior shows well with the seats showing no unusual wear or staining. Some of the switches are "sticky" as is the center HVAC panel but everything functions as designed and there is no characteristic leather shrinkage on the dash or passenger airbag surround. The quilted 250-style headliner is in beautiful shape and complements the interior well.
The Pozzi Blue bodywork has been recently polished and paint meter readings are consistent with no signs of any paint or bodywork. There is a clean CARFAX confirming the car's two owners along with a 19 record documented service history.
This is a solid example of a classic twelve cylinder, 6-speed, gated shift Ferrari with a few minor needs that won't break the bank.
