Just out of a long term collection, this shiny example received a mechanical restoration/rebuild in 2016 by Colvin Automotive, host of TLC's successful show Overhaulin'. The original 396 was removed and completely rebuilt with select upgrades. Gone are the troublesome points & rotor, replaced with a more reliable Pertronix electronic ignition module along with a complete new wiring harness. The rear differential was replaced with a 12 bolt 390 positraction rear for added traction when you need it. And passenger comfort was addressed with the addition of a Vintage Air climate control system and Custom Autosound radio.

After leaving the factory in Palomino, it was repainted at some point in its current blue, and white rallye stripes were applied. Correct rallye wheels ride on BFG radials installed in 2014. The paint has held up well and there are no obvious signs of rust or other damage. All brightwork is in excellent condition with no pitting or chipping. The blue vinyl interior has been redone and is in excellent condition along with the crack-free dash.

Overall, this SS is an excellent & well preserved example of an iconic muscle car that will surely give its next owner many miles of enjoyment.
