Documented 1 of 404 GT350 Convertibles for 1968!
This rare, extremely well documented GT-350 convertible is just out of a long-term private collection. We sourced this excellent example from a well-known collector/dealer in Texas nearly a decade ago and it's been in dry, sunny Scottsdale since then. Our client has used it sparingly while performing all necessary maintenance. This GT-350 was sold new at Tasca Ford in Providence Rhode Island and it remained in the Ocean State for the next 38 years. Included in the sale is a 3-inch binder with service records, receipts and much of its original documentation from new.
The original owner traded it to Criss Cadillac in 1970, who sold it to its second owner, Francis Earnshaw. Mr. Earnshaw retained ownership for the next 36 years, only selling to its third owner, a TX collector/dealer in 2006. Practically every registration card & maintenance receipt from Mr. Earnshaw's 36 years of ownership is included, along with his sales receipt showing a purchase price of $2,495.
Largely in original condition when it was sold to our collector in Texas, he commissioned a complete restoration bringing the car to show condition.
There is a Marti Report and the car appears in the Shelby Registry. Original items include the buck tag, owners manual, warranty manual, metal engine tag and original paper tire tag.
It's rare a 55 year old classic comes with this much documentation proving its lineage. Black Shelby GT350 convertible...it doesn't get much better.
