Nicely restored & upgraded third generation Ranchero in very desirable factory red. Powered by Ford's venerable 289 V-8, driving pleasure is enhanced by a Top Loader 4-speed and Classic Air 134a air conditioning. Being an original western car w/60,000 original miles, it's rust-free and includes an owner's manual with the original dealer and purchaser's info. A disc brake conversion was performed within the past couple years w/new tires and mufflers.
Body fit & finish is excellent and panels are straight & rust-free. A few minor paint nicks have been touched up and all trim is straight with very little pitting noted.
New chrome period-correct wheels were sourced and fitted w/new BFG white letter tires. The cargo bed is painted body color and there's a custom-made vinyl tonneau cover that will keep any items out of sight.
The interior was removed and Dynamat was used on the floors & firewall. All metal was re-finished along with the door panels, headliner & upholstery. A new chrome instrument bezel was sourced and a modern stereo with color-matched speakers was installed. The spare mounted behind the seat is fitted to a matching chrome wheel.
The smooth-running 289 has correct manifolds, valve covers, carb etc. The new, Classic Air 134a air conditioning system blows ice cold.
Underneath, the floors, frame rails and inner rockers are dry metal. Ball joints and swaybar bushings were replaced and new KYB gas shocks were installed at the rear. Dual exhaust features new glass pack mufflers and emits a fantastic exhaust note.
