DESCRIPTION

If you were glued to your television on January 20, 1953, you may have caught your first glimpse this gorgeous new Cadillac everyone was talking about...the original Eldorado. The occasion was the inauguration of President Dwight D. Eisenhower and the popular new leader of the free world and WWII general was riding in the back seat.

Talk about presence...Caddy's new Eldorado was patterned after a concept car and was the first of GM's "dream machines" put into production. This industry leader set new heights in standard equipment with power steering, power brakes, automatic windshield washers and an electric power convertible top.

Body panels are rust-free and straight and the black & cream leather interior shows well with no rips, tears or excessive wear. Power windows and top function as designed, although the top works slowly.

Service receipts go back ten years and include a full engine rebuild in 2008 and a transmission rebuild in 2012. Many spares go with the sale including original-style radio, five [5] show wheels and tires, heads and valvetrain and more.
